The Village Players Present 'Flemming'
FLEMMING November 5 – 20, 2010 Thursday through Saturday
The Village Players theatre will be presenting “Flemming,”a selected play in the 2008 International Mystery Writers’ Festival. The comedic mystery, written by Sam Bobrick, is a spoof of film noir thrillers from the 40s and 50s. It is being directed Larry Farley.
It concerns Henry Flemming who is bored by his mundane, but privileged, life in a brokerage firm. He decides to become a detective. On his very first case, dead bodies begin turning up in his living room to the dismay of the neighbors and his wife, especially since one of the dead is her father!
Every day Henry shows up at his home more disheveled and beaten up, but happy. Henry is convinced that he has found his life’s work, and Westport, Connecticut, is safer for it.
Tickets are available by calling 419-472-6817 or online at www.thevillageplayers.org.
General admission: $14, seniors and children: $12. There will be one matinee performance on Sunday, November 14th at 2:00.
