Frogtown Storytelling Guild's 10th Annual Tellabration!
Ten local tellers share their favorite tales in their 10th annual storytelling concert.
Ten years ago, the Frogtown Storytelling Guild (FSG) joined thousands of other local story groups across the country to present their first Tellabration! performance. That spoken-word concert was free and open to the public in a local coffee house—subsequent years of this annual production saw FSG and their audience grow into a professionally staged and ticketed event.
On Friday, November 12, 2010, to celebrate ten years of Tellabration! in the community, the Frogtown Storytelling Guild will once again present their annual storytelling event as a free open concert at the Toledo Museum of Art, as part of the Museum’s It’s Friday! programming. “This production of Tellabration 2010!, as a free performance, is our way to thank the community for supporting the Frogtown Storytelling Guild for ten wonderful years,” states Ken Solo FSG Producer.
Tellabration! is an annual worldwide event celebrating the grand art of storytelling – sharing funny, sad, scary, real and imagined stories loved by people around the world. In Toledo, this special evening of stories for grown ups will feature ten local tellers of FSG sharing their favorite tales with the community.
Sharing the spotlight that evening will be: Catherine Andujar, Condessa Croninger, Marian Hallauer, Tim Kreps, Pat Lora, Tari Miller, Michael Moore, Regina Patrick, Odessa Rowan and Tellabration 2010! Producer, Ken Solo. Stories to be told include folktales, legends, romantic sagas, humorous accounts and personal narratives that explore the richness of the human condition and the variety of the oral tradition. States FSG President, Marian Hallauer, “There will be something for everyone, come listen!”
