Walleye 'Design a T-Shirt Contest' Winners Announced
2/15/2011 - Thirty schools from Ohio and Michigan participated in the second annual Toledo Walleye “Design a T-Shirt Contest.”
Artwork from students was submitted and the Walleye staff narrowed it down to the top three high school designs, and the top three Middle School / Elementary designs. Artwork was posted at www.toledowalleye.com, and voted on by you, our fans, to determine a winner.
For the Middle School/Elementary category, third place went to Kimi Shah, receiving a $50 gift card to the Swamp Shop, and the Walleye donated $100 toNotre Dame Junior Academy. Runner up was Laken Tegtmeier, receiving a $50 gift card to the Swamp Shop and the Walleye donated $250 to GenoaMiddle School.
The winner of this category was Chloe Vogel from East Broadway Middle School. Chloe will receive a $100 gift card to the Swamp Shop and the Walleye will sell her T-shirt in the Swamp Shop at the Huntington Center through June, with 20% of the proceeds being donated to East Broadway Middle School.
For the High School category, third place went to Megan Rasp, receiving a $50 gift card to the Swamp Shop and the Walleye donated $100 to Bowling Green High School. Runner up was Kelly Kraus, receiving a $50 gift card to the Swamp Shop and the Walleye donated $250 to Notre Dame Academy.
The winner of this category was Alan Martinez from Lake High School. Alan will receive a $100 gift card to the Swamp Shop and the Walleye will sell his T-shirt in the Swamp Shop at the Huntington Center through June, with 20% of the proceeds being donated to Lake High School.
