Village Players Present
“The Rainmaker” by N. Richard Nash produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
Directed by Paul Palmisano
The Village Players is presenting “The Rainmaker,” a classic play about the triumph of hope over despair. At the time of paralyzing drought in the West, a father and two brothers are as worried about their plain daughter and sister as they are about their dying cattle. When suddenly, from out of nowhere, a charming and confident man appears with the grandiose claim that he can make rain---for only $100. It’s a silly idea, but the family consents. They begin to bang on big brass drums to rattle the sky. And there are some unexpected results from all this tumult.
The show will run Thursdays through Saturdays from March 11th through the 26th at 8 pm with a matinee on March 20th at 2 pm.
Tickets are available by calling the ticket office at (419) 472-6817 or at the box office on show nights. Or tickets may be purchased online at www.thevillageplayers.org. Prices are $14 for general admission, $12 for children and seniors. Season tickets, gift certificates and Adopt-a-Seats are available as well.
