Irish Dance Family at Sanger Branch Library
(Released March 1, 2011) – Have you ever wondered why Irish dancers dance with their arms down by their sides? If so, come to the Sanger Branch Library, 3030 W. Central Ave., at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 12 and learn about Irish dance history, music, special dances and dance costumes.
Instructor Molly Kujawa, T.M.R.F., of Perrysburg Dance Academy, will educate participants, who will also get a chance to learn a great Ceili (group) dance that is fun for the whole family!
Kujawa began Irish dancing when she was 8-years-old. Throughout her years she performed at Epcot, the Tampa Bay Lightning, a televised Millennium showcase and other various festivals and events. Molly became a certified Ceili teacher in 2004. Before becoming a teacher, Kujawa was a champion dancer. Her teams qualified for the World Irish Dance Championships. As a teacher her teams also qualified for the Championships.
