Over the past 16 years, the YWCA of Greater Toledo’s annual awards luncheon -
Milestones: A Tribute to Women has become one of Northwest Ohio’s largest and most prestigious events. Our purpose is to acknowledge and honor eight exceptional women who have made extraordinary and exemplary contributions to their professions, the community, and the advancement of women. Of special recognition is:

The YWCA of Greater Toledo is a multi-faceted organization striving to eliminate racism and empower women. We operate the only 24 hour, 7 day a week emergency domestic violence shelter in our community; the only and largest 24 hour 7 day a week rape crisis center in Northwest Ohio; a national and City of Toledo youth empowerment award winner service to at risk youth that focuses on teen pregnancy prevention and community service learning; child care resource and referral service that covers 16 counties; early and educational breast cancer awareness program for uninsured and underinsured women; heart health screening, nutrition and exercise services for women concerned with heart disease, diabetes and stroke; and our newest program permanent supportive housing for homeless women and children.
