Parents of Murdered Children to Hold Motorcycle Run
The Greater Toledo Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children and Other Homicide Survivors is holding a motorcycle run on Sunday April 10, 2011. Money raised at this event will allow POMC to maintain and expand services to area families who have lost a loved one to murder.
Registration for the Bike Run will begin at 10:00 am at Toledo Speedway on Benore Road. Cost is $10 per rider and $5 per passenger. The run will depart at 12 noon and return to the Speedway after making several stops. A pig roast will be held at the conclusion of the run. Non riders and walk-ins are welcome and tickets are $10 and include food. Festivities will run throughout the day and will consist of raffles, door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Les Robinson, POMC Chapter Leader said “We hope to raise enough money to develop a web site, purchase additional books and materials for victims and continue training for our chapter. Support from the biking community will be critical to our success.”
Parents of Murdered Children and Other Homicide Survivors is a national non-profit organization headquartered in Cincinnati Ohio. Members of the organization have lost someone to violent crime. Locally POMC helps families cope with their sudden loss after a brutal act claimed the life of their loved one.
