to Perform at 2011 Wood County Fair
This August 2 through August 8, the 2011 Wood County Fair continues its tradition as one of the top fairs in the state of Ohio with another exciting week of special events, competitions and entertainment. This year, Saturday night music headliners include Grammy-nominated country artist, Chris Young, and CMA-nominated country duo, Steel Magnolia. Bring the whole family for all the fun, and don’t miss seeing these top country artists in concert.
Chris Young is the baritone voice behind the hits “Voices,” “Gettin’ You Home,” “The Man I Want to Be,” and “Tomorrow.” Steel Magnolia first gained widespread recognition for their unique vocal harmonies by winning CMT’s Can You Duet? Today, the group continues to build mainstream success on the strength of their debut single “Keep On Loving You.”
In addition, this year’s fair will feature the Wood County Youth Parade, harness racing, car and combine demolition derbies, a cheerleading competition, and many other daily attractions, including a lumberjack show, wood carving demonstrations and various performances by local music acts. It’s miles and miles of fun, close to home!
The 2011 Wood County Fair at the Wood County Fairgrounds in Bowling Green, Ohio, will be open from Tuesday, August 2 through Thursday, August 4 (and Sunday, August 7) from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday, August 5 and Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to Midnight; and Monday, August 8 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Reserved seat tickets for Chris Young and Steel Magnolia go on sale April 16 at 8 a.m. Track seats are priced at $27.50 and $25; grandstand tickets are $20. Show begins at 8:30 p.m.
