An Intimate Evening with Crystal Bowersox
An Intimate Evening with Crystal Bowersox
Concert for the Arts
Saturday, May 28th, 2011 at 7 pm a special concert will be held at the Valentine Theatre in downtown Toledo. Crystal Bowersox returns to the stage in Toledo to give back to the community.
Proceeds from the performance benefit the students and programs of Toledo School for the Arts. Said Martin Porter, Director of the school at Adams and 14th Streets, “As arts programming is being cut from school curriculum nationally, regionally and locally, it is encouraging to know Crystal wants to help carry us through these challenging times.”
Crystal’s first studio release, Farmer’s Daughter was released last year and chronicles her years growing up in northwest Ohio. From her bio Crystal says “It’s my life story, and that includes the good and bad chapters. I hope that people can appreciate the honesty in the lyrics and get to know me as a person through my music. I’m an open book and this is my diary.”
Crystal attended Toledo School for the Arts in high school before she left for Chicago to follow her dream of being a singer/songwriter.
This event is supported by Key Bank.
