Huntington Center Takes Top Spot Among Midwest Venues
(Toledo, Ohio, April 18, 2011) – Every year, concert industry magazine “Venue’s Today” comes out with the “Top Venues” issue which ranks the top performing venues in regards to ticket sales. The April issue of “Venue’s Today” ranked the top midwest venues (which includes 12 states) in terms of ticket sales for the 2010 calendar year.
In the 5,001-10,000 capacity, the Huntington Center came in number 1 with $6,717,517 in ticket sales. The second place was the Meadow Brook Festival in Rochester, MI, which took in $1,999,690 in ticket sales. Ticket sales were so strong for the Huntington Center that if the venue was placed in the 10,001-15,000 seat capacity, the Huntington Center would have come in number 3 behind Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas and Van Andel Arena inGrand Rapids, Michigan.
