Wine Tasting for Library Legacy Foundation Private Label
(Released April 20, 2011) – Please join The Andersons, Library Legacy Foundation (LLF), and Claire’s Day, Inc., to explore a fun evening of wine tasting. This fund, friend and glass-raising event is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, at The Andersons store in Maumee, 530 Illinois Ave.
This event will allow participants to explore Library Legacy Foundation’s private label wine as part of The Andersons’ Private Label Wine Charity Program. LLF and the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library are part of this unique program which allows non-profits to raise funds and affix their own uniquely designed label on wines sold at all four Toledo area Andersons stores.
The Library’s delightful selection of California wine includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, and White Zinfandel and retails for $9.99 each. The charity program donates to the Library the equivalent of $2 for each bottle of wine sold.
Nick Kubiak, Andersons Wine Manager, will host this special charitable evening which will bring special focus to the good works of The Andersons, LLF and Claire’s Day, Inc.
Sample tastings are $1 each, or all four varieties for $4. Library private label wine bottles will also be available for sale during this fun evening of tasting. There is no cover admission to this public event.
The Library’s private label depicts an open book with grapes and is featured with other charity wines sold at The Andersons (View image above).
The evening will also include an appearance by Perrysburg author and illustrator Dominic Catalano, who will participate in this year’s Claire’s Day festivities. (Learn more about Claire’s Day at www.clairesday.org)
During this special wine tasting evening, Claire’s Night tickets will be available for sale at $65 per person.
Claire’s Night is an adult prelude to the annual Claire’s Day Festival. Claire’s Night is scheduled on Friday, May 20 @ Main Library and is an authors and illustrators cocktail reception.
