Bike to Work and School Day: Friday, May 20
Most people in northwest Ohio could use a bike for a lot of regular commuting. On Bike to Work Day, May 20, TMACOG encourages people to give it a try. Most people commute less than nine miles to work. That is a very manageable distance on a bicycle even for people who haven't ridden a bike in a while. We also have very few hills! Maybe your office will sponsor Bike to Work Day and offer some benefits: casual day for bike riders, breakfast for bike riders.
Some schools in the region are also organizing bike to school day, helping students get more exercise.
