En Plein Air
Calling all artists to connect and create in the open air

Leslie Ann Taylor, the Director of Gallerie 333 at Toledo School for the Arts (TSA), is offering a unique chance for artists to meet and create together in Uptown Toledo. She is coordinating a En Plen Aire meeting monthly on the second Saturday of each month during May through September, 2011.
En Plen Aire is a French expression meaning "in the open air". The idea is to draw or paint based on direct observation of the visible world and not on conceptions.
Artist at any skill level are encouraged to bring their sketchbooks and pencils or painting medium of choice along for an urban landscape monthly session. No instruction provided - just the benefit of drawing and painting with fellow artist around the Uptown area.
The days will start at 10:00 a.m. at Gallerie 333 and then participants will walk out into the Uptown area to draw and paint, meeting back at the gallery at 2:00 p.m. to enjoy a sack lunch (provide your own) and "sharing" time/critique of the group's work.

Simply call 419-246-8732 x291 to let us know you are planning to come and then bring your paints, brushes, canvases or paper, and a sack lunch.
