Entrepreneur Week at Way Public Library begins May 9, 2011
Way Public Library will host two programs for local entrepreneurs during the week of May 9, 2011.
On Monday, May 9, Way Public Library will host a Small Business Basics seminar from 5:30 to 8:30 presented by Dan Slifko, Director of Launch for Rocket Ventures of the Regional Growth partnership and SCORE counselor. Learn the fundamentals of starting and running your own business. Topics include developing a business plan, financing, marketing, human resource issues, and planning for growth. Registration is requested.
Learn more about new ways to market your small business at the Promote your Small Business on the Internet program from 7:00 to 8:00 on Wednesday, May 11 at Way Public Library. Kevin David, local IT expert and owner of TOAST.net, will share advice and tips on building and maintaining your website; marketing your website using social media (Facebook, Twitter) and other techniques (SEO, banner ads); and email marketing.
