A Literary Bash at Main Library presented by PNC Bank
(Released June 1, 2011) – Main Library is the perfect storybook setting for a mid-summer night of fun and frolic. Join us for A Literary Bash at Main Library presented by PNC Bank, an evening of cool jazz and fabulous food in the Wintergarden and star-gazing on the Library’s spectacular rooftop, 325 Michigan St., scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 16.
Take a spin on the dance floor with Snow White or Peter Pan or sit and enjoy an enlightening conversation with Ernest Hemingway and other literary characters. Top off this spell-binding evening, coordinated by the Library Legacy Foundation, with a champagne toast. Guests can dress in casual cocktail attire or as a favorite literary character!
Highlights of the evening include gift books, compliments of Friends of the Library; a raffle for an iPad 2; exhibit of Main Library’s 10-year renovation anniversary, and souvenir photos of guests. Also, enjoy delicious grazing, cash bar and music by Jesse Coleman and JAMM, and Urban Jazz Collective.
Event Chairs are Pat and Jim Appold and Honorary Chairs are Bob and Kathy Chirdon.
Tickets are $75 per person. Proceeds from A Literary Bash at Main Library presented by PNC Bank to benefit Youth Services and Books at the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library.
