June is “Adopt a Shelter Cat” Month!

June is nationally recognized as “Adopt a Shelter Cat” month! “Adopt a Shelter Cat” month occurs each year at this time when homeless cats and kittens reach peak numbers.

The Toledo Area Humane Society takes in litters of newborn kittens every day! In an effort to find homes for all of these furry friends, TAHS is celebrating “Adopt a Shelter Cat” month with a special summer long cat adoption promotion:
The Summer of the Cat

Now is the time of year to sit back, relax, and enjoy the lazy days of summer and nobody does lazy as well as a furry feline. The Toledo Area Humane Society has declared 2011 the Summer of the Cat and we are honoring all of our carefree cats with a special pet promotion just for them.

This summer promotion is supported by a charitable donation from a generous donor to help find permanent homes for a larger number of cats in our shelter. This donation will allow adult cats that are adopted during the "Summer of the Cat" to receive $25.00 off their normal adoption fee.

Regular Adult Cat Adoption Fees were $100 and are now = $75.00
Lonely Hearts Club Adoption Fees were $50.00 and are now = $25.00

The Toledo Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is committed to the welfare of animals by providing temporary shelter and care while seeking permanent homes. Donations from local individuals, corporations and monies generated by fundraisers are the sole source of funding. TAHS is located at 1920 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee. They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am until 6pm.
