JLT Partners with Bittersweet to Host Wine and Pesto Event
Toledo, Ohio – June 15, 2011 – The Junior League of Toledo and Bittersweet Farms will host a Pesto, Wine and Cheese Tasting on Sat., June 25 from 3 - 5p.m. at Bittersweet Farms. The event is free and open to the public.
For more than a year, Junior League of Toledo and Bittersweet Farms have partnered to tackle the issue of employing adults with autism. Through this partnership, they developed a pesto product that Bittersweet residents make and sell, and now you can be the first to sample the pesto. See how the pesto is made, tour the greenhouse and learn how Bittersweet Farms’ vocational programs provide rewarding responsibilities, compensation, and community enrichment for individuals with autism.
The community, as well as women who are interested in joining or learning more about the League, are encourage to attend to experience the League in action.
