Ice Cream Social A Cool Summer Break
It wouldn't be summer without the annual Ice Cream Social at Pearson Metropark in Oregon.
Families are invited for a free, relaxing evening of games, crafts, face painting, music and ice cream Wednesday, July 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Packer-Hammersmith Center, located in the center of the park.
There is a nominal charge for cake and ice cream. Pedal boat rentals on Pearson Park Lake will be half price on that evening.
The annual event is sponsored by Metroparks and Friends of Pearson. In case of rain, the ice cream social will be held the following evening.
