UT's 19th Annual Art on the Mall set for July 31
Mark your calendars. Art on the Mall, the annual juried art fair event at The University of Toledo, will take place Sunday, July 31 on UT's Centennial Mall.
The 2011 event will feature 117 artists along with eight food vendors and the stylings of three musical groups.
“This is the 19th year for this show, and each year we strive to make this a better show than the previous year’s event,” said Ansley Abrams-Frederick, director of alumni programming with UT’s Office of Alumni Relations.
The works of artists specializing in acrylic, glass, jewelry, mixed media, oil, pen and ink, photography, pottery, textiles, fibers, basketry, watercolor and wood mediums will be on display and for sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the event. Other, non-traditional art pieces also will be featured at the outdoor art fair, including painted bird houses, metal yard art, and handmade leather bags and purses.
