FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 6-9 pm. | UT Center for Performing Arts,Towerview & W. Rocket Drive (main campus)
Evelyn Davis was a talented woman who ran the costume shop for the University of Toledo Theatre Department for nearly 20 years until she retired in 1981. While her recent passing is sad, she will be remembered lovingly in the hearts of all who knew her. Join us as we celebrate her life and creativity with a showing of some of her costumes followed by a memorial service. Refreshments will be served.

Evelyn was born and raised in east Toledo. After raising her 5 children and designing and making their clothes, she began a new career as Costumer for the Theatre Department at The University of Toledo, a position she held for nearly 20 years, retiring in 1981. Two years later she came out of retirement to became Housemother of Mauck Hall and Costumer at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI. She held that position for over 15 years. Ms. Davis was an avid reader, traveller, dog lover and game player. Her Michigan license plate said it all - AWAI GO.
