HAIRSPRAY – The Musical
Toledo School for the Arts (TSA) will visit 1960s Baltimore in this larger than life musical featuring big hair and bigger dance numbers Thursday – Sunday, November 3 – 6, 2011, at Owens Community College Center for Fine and Performing Arts. “We are excited to bring one of America’s favorite musicals to TSA,” said David Saygers, Artistic Director of TSA. “It’s a great show about the early days of integration, fun music and a story that champions the underdog.”
Hairspray follows plus-size heroine Tracy Turnblad as she transforms from outsider to celebrity. Can a larger-than-life adolescent bring integration to Baltimore TV and find true love without mussing her hair?
