Toledo Area Humane Society “Homecoming” Promotion

Posted: Friday, September 23, 2011 by: Cynthia Condit | Category: Community Interest

The dogs and cats here at the Toledo Area Humane Society have heard that it’s homecoming season. However, the cats and dogs misunderstood the traditional meaning of “homecoming season” and they think it must be the season that they all get to find new homes! The staff here at the Toledo Area Humane Society does not want to disappoint our furry friends, so in order to help them find their new homes; we’re offering special reduced adoptions fees from Saturday, September 24 through Sunday, October 2.

We have several dogs and cats here at the Humane Society that are members of our Lonely Hearts Club; that is, they have been at the shelter for longer than 60 days and they are ready to go home. During this special promotion, we’re reducing the already lowered adoption fees on all of our Lonely Hearts Club members to just $10. This includes 22 cats and 2 dogs, Valerie – an 8 month old pit bull mix, and Max – a 5 year old beagle mix.

We also have several featured dogs that are not yet members of our Lonely Hearts Club, but they have been here for a while so we’re reducing their adoption fees to help them find their forever homes quicker also. Included are Scrufferz – an 8 year old lab mix, Bella – a 1 one year old boxer mix and Maggie – a 1 year old shepherd mix. Also included are Radical and Baby, 7 year old and 4 year old puggles who came to the shelter together so we’re reducing their adoption fee to $25 for both of them so these girls can go home together!

The Toledo Area Humane Society also has numerous adult cats looking for their forever homes. To help them celebrate homecoming season, we’re also reducing the adoption fee on all of our adult cats to $25. We have a variety of adult cats, so whether you’re looking for a short-haired cat, long-haired cat, a gray tiger, a black cat, white cat, a male or a female – we’ve got it!

Stop in today and meet our Homecoming Court of furry friends, all looking to become the king or queen of your castle!

The Toledo Area Humane Society is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am – 6pm. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization they are committed to the welfare of animals by providing temporary shelter and care while seeking permanent homes.
