Toledo Area Aboriginal Research Society Meeting

The Toledo Area Aboriginal Research Society (TAARS) will host it’s monthly meeting on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Wildwood Metropark, 5100 W. Central Ave., Toledo, Ohio in Metroparks Hall at 7:00 p.m.
Following a brief business meeting, and break for refreshments TAARS welcomes guest speaker, Patrick Tucker, French Canadian Heritage Society of Michigan.
Mr. Tucker, along with Dr. David M. Stothers, University of Toledo, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, co-authored the book: The Fry Site: Archaeological and Ethnohistorical Perspectives on the Maumee River Ottawa of Northwest Ohio. Mr. Tucker’s experience in the archaeological excavations of the Fry Site, as well as many other sites in the Toledo area is well documented.
