The Art of Will Santino Exhibition

The Art Supply Dep? is pleased to announce a display of new works; drawings, doodles, illustrated pages, and playful renderings by one of the area’s youngest and most dynamic emerging artistic talents, Mr. Will Santino.
Mr. Santino’s work is deeply rooted in his love for illustrated children’s books and novels. His current body of work reflects his passion for the marriage of text with imaginative characters and environments meticulously crafted from the depths of his spry imagination. Will states, “No single image or piece of visual art has affected me the way novels do. I love to read, and I always wanted to be a writer. I want to write fiction and draw fiction, so others can experience it and be inspired the way I was. Storytelling is a reciprocal process of gift giving. I just want to give back.”
Will is currently in his senior year at The College of Wooster studying Literature and Fine Arts. He is currently completing a graphic novel as part of his senior independent study thesis, for which he received honors and the George Olson Prize in art.
Please join us Friday, November 11th from 6-9pm at The Art Supply Dep? for an opening celebration. Light edibles and refreshments will be served and musical entertainment will be provided.
A community-wide coloring contest featuring coloring pages of the artists’ imagery will commence at the opening and will be available at The Art Supply Dep? throughout the exhibition. Submissions should be mailed or returned to The Dep? by Wednesday, November 23rd. Winners will be publicly announced and handsomely rewarded Saturday, November 26th.
The exhibition will remain on view until Thursday, December 8th during regular operating hours. The Art Supply Dep? is open Monday through Friday 10a-7p, Saturday 10a-4p, closed Sunday.
