(Released October 24, 2011) – The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library can’t wait for you to check out some of our amazing programming at various neighborhood branch locations.

Check out these fun and unique Library programs for the entire family to enjoy:

· A Celebration of Dance featuring “The Nutcracker” – Saturday, November 5 from 11 a.m. – Noon: Join us for our open house with crafts, games, and dancing and meet members from The Toledo Ballet. The dancers will highlight selections from the perennial holiday favorite “The Nutcracker”. Come share this wintry, magical story with us! Door prizes and refreshments will be available. · Geisha: Life in the Floating World – Saturday, November 5 from 2-3:30 p.m.: Kerry Porter is back with a fascinating look at the real lives of Geisha, Japan’s iconic and often misunderstood entertainers. · Tai Chi @ Sylvania Branch Library – Saturdays on November 5, 12 & 19 from 10-11 a.m.: With today’s hectic lifestyles that make it difficult to take time out for exercise, Tai Chi is finding fans in all age groups, walks of life, and levels of athletic abilities. Tai Chi experts say that it reduces stress, keeps joints working smoothly, improves flexibility and cleanses the body of negative energy. Join Jan Gilson for a hands-on introduction.
