Cannan Outreach Center Presents Benefit Boxing Exhibition
The Canaan Outreach Center will present a Benefit Boxing Exhibition on Saturday, November 19, 2011. The Canaan Outreach Center will recognize, Mr. Larry Sykes for his continued fight in the Educational Arena for the youth of our community The matches will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. at JKA Boxing Club located at 444 Laskey Rd.. All proceeds will go directly to the After School Enrichment Program.
The Canaan Outreach Center serves the youth of the community providing Math and Language Arts enrichment year round. We are offering children aged 5 through 14 an after school experience in classes of Homework Help; tutoring in Math & Language Arts; Special Interest Classes such as Music, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Activity. We are a staff made up of volunteers motivated by a love for children. We operate presently on donations from the church membership, our community friends, and family. The Winter program will provide the children with classes at the Toledo Museum of Art, fieldtrips to various events held throughout the city, The children will be involved in service projects such as Nursing Home visitations and so much more.
