Walleye players raising money for Prostate Cancer Awareness
(TOLEDO, OH) – The Toledo Walleye announced today that several members of the team will be participating in this year’s “Movember” campaign.
In an effort to show support for and promote awareness of men’s health, Walleye players Carter Hutton, Joey Martin, and Paul Zanette will grow moustaches for the month of November.
“Movember” encourages men around the world to grow moustaches during the entire month of November to increase awareness of prostate cancer and other men’s health issues, as well as raise funds for programs supported by “Movember”.
Donations to your favorite players or the team as a whole may be made by visiting the online donation page at http://us.movember.com/mospace/1768546/. Updated photos of the players moustaches are also available at their website.
The Walleye will also be matching the donations that are generated by Hutton, Martin, and Zanette up to $1,000. At the time of this release, the trio has already garnered $465 in donations.
Toledo Walleye Manager of Community Relations Cheri Pastula said, “We are happy to donate money to this worthwhile cause and we are proud of our players for taking the initiative to coordinate this effort. We are looking forward to seeing the updated photos of the moustaches. It should be entertaining.”
