Holiday Shopping at Bittersweet Farms
Complete your holiday shopping and support individuals with autism all in one visit to the Holiday Shop at Bittersweet Farms Dec. 1-22. Handcrafted items and homemade baked goods made by residents and day participants of Bittersweet will be available for purchase Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the farmstead community in Whitehouse.
Proceeds from the Holiday Shop program will support the adolescents and adults with autism at Bittersweet Farms, Bittersweet Pemberville and Betty’s Farm in Lima. Bittersweet, Inc. is a non-profit organization that has been internationally recognized for its comprehensive services to people with autism for almost 30 years.
“People are always looking for ways to give back this time of the year. The Holiday Shop is a great opportunity for people to get their holiday shopping done and, at the same time, support individuals with autism,” says Executive Director of Bittersweet, Inc., Vicki Obee-Hilty.
The price of items range from $5 to $50. Shoppers who spend at least $40 will receive a free gift with their purchase.
Items to be featured in the administration building include original artwork, fine art paints, art/note cards, pottery and ceramics, hand woven items, gourmet dog treats, bird houses, t-shirts and much more. Participants in the in the culinary program will be baking cookies, biscotti, and peanut brittle.
