Take Them Ho-Ho-Home for the Holidays
The dogs and cats at the Toledo Area Humane Society have been very good this year and they’ve all mailed their letters to Santa asking for the one thing they want the most – a forever home. They’ve even helped Santa by getting Christmas presents for their new families!
Each family that adopts a cat, kitten, dog or puppy between now and December 31 will receive a free care package for their new pet! Dog and puppy care packages come with a new Premier leash and collar, a package of dog treats and a dog toy. Cat and kitten care packages include a new litter box, a bag of cat litter, 2 kitty toys, food and water bowls, and a collar.
“Our goal is always to help as many pets as possible find their new forever homes. It becomes even more special around the holidays to help a dog or cat that’s been at the shelter for awhile find their perfect family” said John Dinon, Executive Director of TAHS. “We encourage the whole family to come by the shelter and visit with the dogs and cats, and talk with our adoption counselors to see which pet would be best for your household.”
The Toledo Area Humane Society is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am – 6pm. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization they are committed to the welfare of animals by providing temporary shelter and care while seeking permanent homes. Donations from local individuals, corporations and monies generated by fundraisers are a major source of funding for the Toledo Area Humane Society.
