Computer Discount Gives Away A FREE LAPTOP
During the final weeks of 2011 Computer Discount and LAPuTOPia conducted an online contest. The Prize: A Free Lap Top. That’s right, a FREE LAPTOP! No purchase necessary, no prior customer history, no politics, just pure caring for their service and community.
The Facebook post read:
Attention Facebook friends! Computer Discount is giving away a new laptop this holiday season! Get creative and you could win yourself a brand spanking new laptop!
Create a music video which tells a story about how amazing/fantastic/pick-another-favorite-adjective Computer Discount and/or LAPuTOPia are and post it to our Facebook page between now and 12/31/2011.
The judges will evaluate each entry for creativity, quality and overall niftiness and select a winner!

(Maximum one entry per person. Minimum ten (10) video entries total for laptop to be awarded. Winner decide at sole discretion of judges)
Several videos were submitted throughout the first week, but not enough to satisfy the contest guidelines. It wasn’t untill the final day that the 10th video was submitted and the contest was ON! So many different types of videos were submitted showing love for computers and promoting the Local business. But only one of them could be selected as the winner. On Tuesday January 3rd Computer Discount and LAPuTOPia held true to their word and gave away a Free Gateway Lap Top Computer to Jason Kelley and Laura Spiess.

Computer Discount and LAPuTOPia did what seems to be unheard of these days. They gave away a huge prize and allowed for anyone to enter the competition. It wasn’t about who spent money at their company or who they knew personally. It was about allowing anyone an opportunity and giving back.
