Struggling Family Needs Help To Move
Hello,
We are the Roberts Family. We are being forced out of our West Toledo home, victims of a slum landlord.We have been batteling this man in court since November.He filed a false eviction on us because he was angry we used some of his rent money to fix out furnace, that he refused to do anything about when the gas company put a red tag on it and said it was not safe to use.This man left us with a two year old and no heat in 30 degree weather for two months.Somehow our wonderful court system favors a slumlord and we have days to vacate the home.We are not looking for a handout, we are simply hoping there may be someone out there that can offer help with a moving truck. I am currently unemployed after being a manager for Walgreens for six years.We are operating on my husbands income only and unable to receive any assistance from the state, waiting for my unemployment to come through.I'm posting this on the hopes that there will be someone out there that can either offer help or offer some direction in getting the help.Please send any responder to [email protected].
