Stan Lee Appearance to be RESCHEDULED!
(Released February 20, 2012) – Due to a conflict in Stan Lee’s calendar, his April 18, 2012 appearance at the Stranahan Theater will be rescheduled.
All tickets purchased for the April 18 event will be honored on the pending date. Details on the new appearance date will be made available as soon as possible.
*Please note that the Library and The Blade had no control over Lee’s calendar conflict, but are pleased to work with his officials on a rescheduled date.
Ticket Exchange/Refund Process:
If you purchased a Stan Lee ticket and you would like a refund, you must leave your name and address and your original Stan Lee ticket with a library branch official (i.e. the branch manager at the library location where you first purchased your Stan Lee ticket). Your money will be eventually refunded for the ticket. No refunds will be granted without your original ticket.
Lee is known to millions as the man whose superheroes propelled Marvel to its preeminent position in the comic book industry. Hundreds of legendary characters such as Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Daredevil, The Avengers, Thor and Dr. Strange all grew out of his Lee’s fertile imagination. It was in the early '60s that Stan Lee ushered in what has come to be known as "The Marvel Age of Comics," creating major new superheroes while breathing life and style into such old favorites as Captain America. Lee has written more than a dozen best-selling books including The Origins of Marvel Comics, The Silver Surfer, How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way, Bring on the Bad Guys and The Superhero Women. Most recently, he wrote the introduction to the best-selling "coffee-table book," Marvel: Five Fabulous Decades of the World's Greatest Comics.
