Toledo Area Humane Society Changes Operating Hours
Toledo, OH - The Toledo Area Humane Society will be changing their public hours beginning Tuesday, March 13, 2012. The new hours will be:
Tuesday – Friday 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
In an effort to make it easier for people to visit during the week, TAHS is changing their operating hours to stay open later. “We want to encourage those individuals who work 9 to 5 to be able to stop by after work and meet their new best friend,” says John Dinon, Executive Director of TAHS. “We require that potential adopters spend at least 30 minutes getting to know the animal they would like to adopt. We recognized that people who work until 5 o’clock were coming in after work and it was difficult for them to have enough time to meet their new best friend before we close at 6. We’re hoping our later hours will make it more convenient for adopters and will help us save more lives.”
In addition to changing open hours, the Toledo Area Humane Society is also adjusting the hours of its weekend Nail Trim Clinic times. Beginning Saturday, March 17, the new Nail Trim Clinic times will be Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. All friendly dogs, cats, pocket pets and reptiles are welcome to have their nails trimmed. No appointment is necessary, but the clinic is only available during those hours. Nail trims are $10 per pet and all proceeds directly benefit TAHS.
The Toledo Area Humane Society is currently open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am – 6pm. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization they are committed to the welfare of animals by providing temporary shelter and care while seeking permanent homes.
