Second-place playwright, Janet Godsell of Wellington, Nova Scotia, submitted A Problem with Friends which tells the story of an estranged young couple who admit to confiding their true feelings to their best friends rather than to each other.
Memory Box by Chris Swanson of Westerville, Ohio, tied for third-place and is a tale about an unbreakable friendship between two young girls set in the 1960’s. Press Play by Seth Freeman of Pacific Palisades, California, also took home third-place. His play depicts a desperate soul who prays for help and receives an unexpected response.
