Vote to Save Lives! The Toledo Area Humane Society Needs YOUR Help!
Toledo, OH – The ASPCA $100K Challenge is an amazing chance for animal shelters and humane societies all over the country to save more lives and to get rewarded for it! The competition inspires shelters and their communities to come up with innovative ways to save more animals. The Toledo Area Humane Society could win between $5,000 and $125,000 to directly benefit our mission and help us save more lives…but we need YOUR help!

The only way for the Toledo Area Humane Society to get into the final round of the $100K Challenge is by YOUR votes!

The Qualifying Heat to get into the Challenge is 12 days of online voting to select the official 50 contestants from the 108 nationwide applicants. Voting begins at noon on Thursday, April 5 and closes at midnight on Monday, April 16.

TAHS needs everyone in the community to show their support by going online and voting for us once every day. Vote online by visiting www.ToledoAreaHumaneSociety.org or www.VoteToSaveLives.org. Send the link to family, friends, anyone you can think of. Help TAHS spread the word so we can save more lives!

Anyone over the age of 13 years old with a valid email address can vote daily. (Please note email addresses will not be sold. However, voters must validate their email address after their first vote in order for any of their votes to count.) Please vote daily – you can vote one time per day per person.

“We are very excited about this opportunity,” said Dr. Deb Johnson, Director of Operations at TAHS. “The ASPCA $100K Challenge an excellent incentive for shelters across the country to find new ways to save more lives and get more animals adopted. This is also an exciting and really fun way for us to engage with our community and the people who already support us and to help spread the word to those who may not be as familiar with TAHS.”

The final round of the $100K Challenge takes place August 1 - October 31.  Shelters that increase adoptions by at least 300 over the same three month period of the previous year win $5,000.  Shelters with larger increases in adoptions win more money, and the shelter that increases adoptions the most wins $100,000.  Most importantly, challenge participants will save a lot more animals!

The Toledo Area Humane Society is open Tuesday through Friday from 11am – 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 6pm. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization they are committed to the welfare of animals by providing temporary shelter and care while seeking permanent homes.
