Former Toledo Resident Makes the Jump from Designer to Partner
Rosenberg Advertising Announces New Minority Owner, Melissa Sattler
LAKEWOOD, OH (April 13, 2012) -- Melissa Sattler knew she would be a perfect fit at Rosenberg Advertising, in fact she insisted that owner Dave Rosenberg interview her when she initially applied at the agency. It was that same determination nearly seven years later that has earned Sattler the new role of Principal at the Lakewood advertising agency.
Having been in business for over 30 years, Rosenberg Advertising has established firm roots in Northeast Ohio. The firm specializes traditional advertising, digital advertising, marketing, public relations and social media. Some of its key clients include Discount Drug Mart, Friedman, Domiano & Smith, and Feldmar Watch Company (Los Angeles).
During Rosenberg’s tenure, this marks the first time the firm and its owner, Dave Rosenberg, have taken on a partner. Sattler, originally from Toledo, Ohio and a graduate of the University of Toledo, set her sights on the agency to pursue her dream job. She began her career as an art director for the agency and quickly advanced to creative director and eventually a principal.
“Two years ago Dave asked me if I’d ever be interested in more of a management role during his succession planning. At that time I knew I was definitely interested and wanted to be an integral part of the company’s long-term success,” said Sattler.
“Ultimately Melissa believes in the same things I do and has the same vision for the business. Those goals are to create a great work atmosphere and culture, focus on smart marketing and business strategy, and continue the reputation of Rosenberg Advertising as a business that is respected and admired,” said Rosenberg. “I think she is a great fit for this role, she is a creative thinker not only in the conceptual creative part of the business, but as a businesswoman overall. She never settles for mediocre, and always wants to propel the company forward,” continued Rosenberg.
Sattler explains that she is looking forward to what the future as an entrepreneur holds. “I always knew at some point in my life that I would want to work for myself, it was just a matter of when and where. I think the idea of being a female business owner is empowering and I’m really looking forward to stepping into that role.” said Sattler.
Passionate about the position, Sattler hopes to the see the company continue to grow profitably each year, and expand its capabilities with more of an emphasis on B2B business. Her goal is to bring fresh perspectives to the leadership role. Her fellow employees are also excited about the transition.
Jenna Tucci, Senior Account Executive at the agency has worked with Sattler for the past four years. “I’m really looking forward to what Melissa and Dave have in store for the agency. When working with Melissa, she has always been an outstanding designer and problem solver. No matter the situation with a client, she is always the first to come up with a solution. I have no doubt in my mind that she is going to continue to steer us in the right direction.”
Sentiments are also echoed by Austin Rosenberg, an Account Executive and son of majority owner Dave Rosenberg. “I think it’s great that Melissa is stepping into this new leadership position. Sattler explains her passion about the agency, “To own a piece of the business with Dave is fantastic.
