Library Hosts Rotary Club of Toledo Centennial Exhibit

The Rotary Club of Toledo Centennial Exhibit is scheduled to open with a private reception tomorrow evening, Tuesday, May 1(Media outlets are welcome to attend).

The Toledo Lucas County Public Library is hosting an exhibit in its 2nd Floor Gallery, recognizing 100 years of “Service Above Self” by Toledo Rotary. The exhibit is on view beginning tomorrow through June 30. Beginning May 2, the exhibit will be open to the public for viewing during normal Main Library hours. The club is the 15th largest and one of the oldest clubs in the Rotary world of 1.2 million members and 34,000 clubs.

With 452 members, on May 3, 1912, it was the 44th club to be chartered. The Toledo Rotary Foundation annually donates approximately $150,000.00 and hundreds of volunteer hours to charitable organizations and projects both locally and internationally. The exhibit will run for the months of May and June and features photographs of Past Presidents and members, along with documents and artifacts from the club’s first 100 years.
