TAHS Announcces Two New Programs For Spring Break
Does your child love animals? Then check out the Toledo Area Humane Society’s upcoming Pet Sitting and Chihuahua de Mayo programs, specifically designed for young animal lovers.
First up is our Pet Sitting class on Saturday, May 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This class is perfect for kids ages 11 – 15 years old who would like to use their love of animals to help them make a little money this summer. Students will learn all they need to know about provide pet-sitting services to friends and family. Topics include first-aid for pets, safety, and business tips from a pro. All students earn a certificate of completion. This class is also be offered on Friday, June 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
We’re also offering our Chihuahua de Mayo Day class for younger animal lovers. Kids ages 8 – 11 years old can join us at the Humane Society on Saturday, May 12 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Kids will enjoy a fun-filled day learning about pets that originated from North America. They will also get to try their luck with the piñata.
The fee for each of these classes is only $25 per child. Each class will be held at the Toledo Area Humane Society at 1920 Indian Wood Circle in Arrowhead Park in Maumee. The Toledo Area Humane Society is open Tuesday through Friday from 11am – 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 6pm.
