Library's Summer Reading Club 2012
It’s that time of year again where we all get excited for the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library’s annual Summer Reading Club (SRC)! This year’s theme, “Dream Big READ!” encourages everyone from infants to adults to expand your horizons with big thoughts, big words, but most of all BIG dreams through reading!
SRC’s “Dream Big READ!” gets underway on Monday, June 11 and runs during the summer through August 4. We have reading clubs for all ages!
Registration for SRC will begin on Monday, June 11! Either stop in any neighborhood Library location, or aboard the bookmobile to pick up and fill out an SRC entry form, or register online at src.toledolibrary.org on the Summer Reading Club page.
Everyone can participate, here are the age categories for SRC:
· READ TO ME (Infant to 3 years): Read to your baby every day, complete an activity page and earn a prize for baby and for you!
· KIDS (Preschool to 5th Grade): Track the time you spend reading and visit your library for a reading folder. Read at least 15 minutes a day.
· TEENS (6th to 12th Grade)
· ADULTS (18 years and older)
Read a book and enter on June 11! The more you read, the better your chances of winning some fantastic prizes for all age categories!
Kids and Teens can show your SRC ‘hang tag’ and catch a ride to the Library on TARTA for FREE this summer! Just show the TARTA driver your SRC ‘hang tag'.
