Bark In The Park- Walk For The Animals

It’s that time of year again, Bark in the Park – Walk for the Animals on Sunday, May 20. Raise pledges to support homeless animals in our community! Then “fetch” your sneakers, grab your furry friend for a 1.5 mile journey around Arrowhead Park.

The event opens at 9:00 a.m., registration begins at 10:00 a.m. with the walk kicking off at 11:00 a.m. Every person who raises $25 or more receives a commemorative event t-shirt! Four-legged friends are encouraged to participate, but all dogs must be on a leash.

Stick around for the afternoon full of family friendly activities - live remote, carnival style games, exciting dog contests, music, food and much more!

New this year – supporters can go online at www.toledoareahumanesociety.org and create their own Bark in the Park walk website. Upload pictures of your furry friends, send requests for pledges to friends and relatives through email or Facebook, share stories and so much more!

The 2012 Bark in the Park – Walk for the Animals is proudly presented by Karnik.

The Toledo Area Humane Society is open Tuesday through Friday from 11am – 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 6pm. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization they are committed to the welfare of animals by providing temporary shelter and care while seeking permanent homes. Donations from local individuals, corporations and monies generated by fundraisers and earned revenue are a major source of funding for the Toledo Area Humane Society.
