This year the Glass Art Society, glass artists and glass collectors alike will celebrate 50 years of studio glass. The 42nd Annual GAS Conference is being held right here in Toledo, Ohio at the world class Toledo Museum of Art from June 13 through June 17, 2012. TMA was chosen as the location of the conference in
recognition of the seminal and historical role the Museum has played in the studio glass art movement. In collaboration with the Artwalk and GAS Gallery Hop, Toledo born glass artist and long time B-Bop Records store owner Amjad Doumani have put together a show of rare collectors posters and hand blown glass art. Amjad and Kc have assembled for display a collection of signed and numbered silkscreen concert posters from their own private collections including some of their favorite bands and artists including Smashing Pumpkins, Modest Mouse and James Iha. The glass art show will include previously unavailabe Hale Farm glass, the Re-Evolution Glass line and the new Bringing Life to Glass series. All posters and glass will be available for purchase. This is a show for glass art collectors, collectors of rare rock and roll memorabilia, and anyone just looking to mingle, chat and have a good time celebrating music and art. The show will take place at B-Bop Records at 137 N. Michigan Street during the ArtWalk/GAS Gallery Hop on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 6-9pm.
