Attend a Kitten Shower at TAHS
The Toledo Area Humane Society is bursting at the seams with adorable, adoptable kittens! TAHS still has many furry felines looking for forever homes and close to 200 currently in foster homes.
It’s still “kitten season” and the Toledo Area Humane Society is overwhelmed with cats and kittens looking for their forever homes. In honor of all the adorable and playful kittens currently looking for their new homes, the Toledo Area Humane Society is holding a Kitten Shower on Saturday, August 11 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to help even more cats and kittens find their forever homes. All cats and kittens will have their adoption fees reduced to $5!
“$10 Tuesdays” and “$5 Fridays” have been a big success for the Toledo Area Humane Society, helping hundreds of adult cats and kittens find forever loving homes. During the spring and summer months, humane societies, animal shelters and animal rescue organizations across the country are over whelmed with litters of kittens.
Since this is a baby shower of sorts and with so many cats and kittens to care for, the Toledo Area Humane Society is requesting gifts for the kittens! TAHS is always in need of cat food to care for all of the kittens in our facility and in foster. New and gently used blankets, towels and small animal carriers are also always appreciated. Party favors will be given to all cats and kittens who find their new forever homes and of course there will be treats for guests who come for the kitten shower.
The Toledo Area Humane Society realizes that with these greatly reduced adoption fees, adoption revenue has been reduced. However, as the area’s only open-admission facility, it is incredibly important to TAHS to save as many lives as possible and to find homes for as many animals as possible. Because adoption fees will be so greatly reduced on Tuesdays and Fridays, TAHS wants to remind adopters that donations are greatly appreciated in addition to the reduced adoption fees to help cover their costs and to help them help more animals. All cats, kittens, dogs and puppies adopted from the Toledo Area Humane Society are spayed or neutered, get microchipped, receive their age-appropriate vaccines and get a physical exam by our on-staff veterinarians.
The Toledo Area Humane Society is open Tuesday through Friday from 11am – 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 6pm. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization they are committed to the welfare of animals by providing temporary shelter and care while seeking permanent homes. Donations from local individuals, corporations and monies generated by fundraisers and earned revenue are a major source of funding for the Toledo Area Humane Society.
