LOCAL SCHOOL TO BRING 80+ ACTS TO THE STAGE

TOLEDO, OH: Toledo School for the Arts is pleased to announce the 2012-13 Performance Season. This year TSA breaks a personal record, bringing 82 shows across a dozen area venues. “The strength of our artistic offerings continues to grow, and we’ve enjoyed excellent participation and feedback from the community. We hope to gather an even broader audience by consistently building our repertoire,” explained David Saygers, TSA Artistic Director. Between the events listed below and TSA’s frequent Outreach efforts, students easily perform over 100 times per school year. Upcoming season highlights include Legally Blonde: The Musical, Percussion Mixed Meter, Spoken Word at Grumpy’s and Songs for Our Sister.

Toledo School for the Arts is a grades 6-12 charter school in downtown Toledo. TSA serves over 500 students from 23 school districts, and has received Excellent Report Cards from the Ohio Department of Education for the past seven years. The school’s mission is to provide students with creative opportunities to achieve personal and academic success through arts-based learning. TSA prepares students as lifelong learners and productive members of society with appreciation for, and competence in, the arts.
