Amtrak Chair to Address Local Forum
Thomas C. Carper, chairman of the Amtrak Board of Directors, will be the featured speaker at the Passenger Rail Forum Monday, October 22, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Toledo Club, 235 14th Street downtown Toledo.
The annual luncheon meeting is presented by the Northwest Ohio Passenger Rail Association (NOPRA) and the Public Transit & Passenger Rail Committee of the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG). It is open to the public. Elected officials, economic development professionals, and all advocates for passenger railroads are invited to hear the latest news about rail travel in Ohio, Michigan and neighboring states. Tickets are $25 for NOPRA members, $30 for non-members, and $18 for students. Please contact TMACOG at 419.241.9155 ext. 120 for reservations.
