Imagination Station Kicks Off 2012 Levy Renewal Campaign
Imagination Station will officially kick-off its 2012 levy renewal campaign at a press conference in front of the building on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 10:30am.

Ms. Sawyer will share her story with press conference attendees, which in her own words is “a story worth telling.” Ms. Hauser and Mr. Waterman will follow with details about the levy renewal and what Lucas County residents can expect.
The facts:
• Issue 26 is not a new tax. It is a straight renewal of our existing five-year, property tax levy.
• This levy will continue to cost just $5.21 per $100,000 in residential value annually, or just under 2¢ per day.
• Funds generated from our existing levy totaled approximately $1.25 million in 2012, which represents roughly a third of the science center’s annual budget.
• Imagination Station’s levy renewal will be the smallest on the 2012 Lucas County General Election Ballot.
• Renewal funds will not be released to Imagination Station until after the initial levy is exhausted in 2013.
