Stand Up Toledo Returns for Second Annual
WE ARE COMING BACK IN JANUARY 2013!!!!
If you attended the 2012 Stand Up Toledo, you know how groundbreaking the event was. Located at the Maumee Indoor Theater, the entire night was fun and funny. With over 480 people in attendance, most of the Comedians involved performed for the largest crowd of their career. The local talent was showcased in a manner equivalent to that of a National Touring Act. By performing in front of a seated crowd and on a large, well lit stage the essence of being a professional comedian was instilled into all of the performers.
We are Proud to ANNOUNCE!!! The 2013 Stand Up Toledo will also be at the Maumee Indoor Theater. The only thing that has changed is the Line Up. We are bringing back up to 5 comedians from the previous year (Based on your Votes on the Polls Page). We are also accepting submissions and scouting local talent until December 1st 2012.
The Stand Up Toledo event adds awareness to Local Talent.
There is a large underground comedy scene in the Toledo area and we will be showcasing that to you!
A lot of people don’t know about the Comedy Scene because they don’t want to attend the Toledo Area Bar Scene for the Open Mics and the essence of the “Comedy Club” has become monotonous to so many. The Toledo Comedy Scene has events every week that a lot of Toledoans miss out on due to these issues. If the Stand Up Toledo Event gets even one more fan for each comedian that takes the stage, it is a Success! If the Stand Up Toledo gets at least one person frequenting the local Open Mics and/or the Local Comedy Clubs, it was a Success. Needless to say, the Stand Up Toledo event is not only for the People of Toledo, But for the Local Comedy Scene as a whole.
