Herzing University to Host Levy Info Night

Herzing University is hosting a non-partisan levy information night in order to give voters a convenient way to educate themselves on a number of property tax issues on the Nov. 4 ballot. Toledo voters face seven ballot issues, while five of those will be on the ballot Lucas County-wide.
Lucas County voters have a one-stop opportunity to pick up levy-related information and chat one-on-one with agency officials on their way home from work, school, etc. Each of the seven levy campaigns will be represented. The auditor’s office also has confirmed attendance with the ability to calculate on-site the total potential property tax increase for individual property owners.
“Herzing University recently hosted a public voter registration drive and signed up more than 40 new voters, just from among the Herzing student population,” said Greg Guzman, president of the Toledo campus. “But as an institution of higher education, having informed voters is just as important to us as people exercising their right to vote.”
MEDIA PLEASE NOTE: This is an excellent opportunity for some “one-stop shopping” interviews and photo opportunities with concerned voters, as well as top officials from each agency with a levy on the Nov. ballot.
