Holiday Happenings with Toledo School for the Arts
TOLEDO, OH- Toledo School for the Arts hopes to be your one stop shop for holiday gifts and entertainment. The Gallerie 333 Holiday Sale will take place at TSA from December 10th through the 15th. The TSA Chorus will offer a Yuletide Dinner on December 13th and 14th.
Year-round, student visual artists concept and create to prepare our gallery for events. During class time in TSA studios and afterschool as part of the Artisans’ Guild fused glass nightlights, silk scarves, bulletin boards, jewelry, journals, totes, business card holders, greeting cards, pins and hair accessories, and one-of-a-kind fine art has been created. In special preparation for the Holiday Sale, young artists have designed holiday cards, ornaments, acorn snowmen, glass trees and more. For fellow Flying Pigs (the TSA mascot), the School Store will be selling TSA apparel, lanyards, bumper stickers and water bottles. TSA can also take care of your gift wrapping, as two student-designed custom wrapping papers have been produced.
Gallerie 333 is located in Toledo School for the Arts at 333 14th Street.
Holiday Sale Hours: Monday 12/10, Tuesday 12/11 and Wednesday 12/12 from 3:30 to 5:30pm; Friday 12/14 from 11am to 7pm; Saturday 12/15 from 12 to 5:30pm.
TSA will offer the first Chorus Yuletide Dinner on December 13th and 14th at Trinity Episcopal Church. Student vocalists will celebrate the midwinter with Renaissance food, music costumes and entertainment. With the tagline, “Grab your lute and coronet and step back in time!” guests are invited to attend in their own Renaissance garb. The traditional meal includes a choice of Beef Tenderloin with Wild Mushrooms, Roasted Cornish Game Hen, or Vegetarian Entrée, served with Bean Soup, Asparagus in Orange Sauce, Roasted Root Vegetables and Flaming Plum Pudding, accompanied by Wassail- a traditional mulled cider.
The Yuletide Dinner will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church at One Trinity Plaza Toledo. Dinner begins at 7pm and the concert is at 8:15.
Admission Options: Concert Only – Adult $6, Student/Senior $4 (in advance or at door); Dinner and Concert- $20 per person with RSVP required by Thursday, December 6th. All ticketing through the TSA Box Office at 419.246.8732x226.
If you are already finished up with this year’s list, think of TSA in plenty of advance for Holiday 2013. The Artisans’ Guild takes commissions, ranging from business card holders for your entire staff to sweater bunnies for all the nieces and nephews. TSA’s String Quartet is the perfect high end touch for a home holiday dinner, while Glass City Steel will absolutely wake up the office party.
