The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library is proud to celebrate the 1-Year Anniversary of the restored Kent Branch Library @CCESS Center, 3101 Collingwood Blvd.

Thanks to a $2.2 million broadband federal stimulus grant (BTOP – Broadband Technology Opportunities Program) awarded to the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, Kent re-opened last November 2011, after being closed since November 2010 to undergo a massive renovation to include state-of-the-art improvements, high-speed computers and exterior and interior restoration. Community contributions also played a large role in funding for the new Kent, which now serves the community as both a public library and a public access computer center.

Kent ranks among the top branch in the system for computer use. Computer classes and training continue to be popular at the branch with enhanced classes beginning in January 2013, including sessions for e-readers.
