Area youth and high school hockey teams will overtake the Huntington Center December 28 and 29, for the Fourth Annual Holiday HockeyFest.

Eight local high school teams are slated to go head-to-head during the two-day event. Walleye Manager of Special Events Michael Keedy is thrilled the event has expanded into two days. “Our area has such strong youth and high school programs. We’re happy we can offer a venue to showcase our up and coming talent. I hope the momentum continues to build.”

Participating teams are utilizing the Toledo Walleye High School Hockey program to raise money for Kyle Cannon who was paralyzed while playing a game for Clay High School in Dayton, Ohio in December of 2008. (www.toledowalleye.com/hockeyfest)

The Huntington Center doors will open at 10:30 a.m. on both December 28 and 29. Come support our future stars and then stick around to cheer on the Walleye. Game time is 7:05 each night.
